Sample a truly English experience in the warmth and charm of the London Tavern right here at the Birchwood Inn.

Traditional English Ales and an authentic English menu combine to create a casual atmosphere not to be found anywhere else in New Hampshire.

Whether lodging here at the Birchwood Inn, a traveler needing refueling between venues or a local in the area, everyone is welcome to pay us a visit to sample a taste of what England has to offer.

Nick provides the warm English welcome for both our lodging guests and in the London Tavern, whilst Andrew has created a truly English Menu using the wide and varied cuisine found in Britain today. No more does England suffer under the image of grey boiled meat! We now have an enviable culinary reputation. In fact some of the great chefs now come from England.

Traditional English cuisine is substantial, yet simple and wholesome with many original recipes being revamped to suit today’s diner.

Chefs now look closer to home for their inspiration using local ingredients and traditional methods to prepare some quite outstanding menus.

Our menu here at the London Tavern is designed to provide a taste of what England has to offer. There are many traditional British dishes combined with dishes from other countries that the English like to eat’.

(Squash, celery, suede, carrots & parsnips on a bed of
savoury brown rice with crispy cheese coating)
